Newborn Photography is beautiful and challenging.

As if we had planned it, my sister and I got pregnant as well as my three sisters in law. The first baby was born on December, and the rest will be born this year. My mom and dad are going crazy of happiness with all the grandsons coming into the family. Yes! You heard right. From the five of us only one had a baby girl the others babies are boys.

What a convenient time to learn and practice newborn photography, don’t you think?

Newborn Photography I have learned so much from the class Pregnancy and Newborn Photography with Ana Brandt. I recommend it. By the way, CreativeLive has tons of awesome courses. You should check it out.

Once I felt comfortable with my new photography skills I jumped on Amazon to look for newborns photography props. Guys, I felt in heaven with all the cute stuff they have.

I have worked with models and grown-ups in the past. It was all make-up, glamor, fashion, music and people trying to do their best at modeling. But working with newborns is entirely different. The whole atmosphere is so tender, peaceful and quiet. These little humans steal your heart. It can be very messy too and take longer than planned. Be ready to stop because the subject pooped or because he wants to nurse.

Take advantage and check your settings, lighting, props or just have a little rest.

These two little models are the two babies born out of the five. Next is my turn, then my sister in law who is due on July 11 and my birthday is on July 12. No secretly hoping he gets born on my birthday. The last one will born on October. I will make sure to have a photo shoot wit the 5.

Please, tell me what do you think of my newborn photography so far?

Don’t be shy. Leave a comment.

Having Tons of Fun at the Leonardo Museum

Your mind will blow when you get to see the many exhibitions the Leonardo Museum holds. What I love about the Leo, is the different attractions it has. You never get bored there. Kiddos love it and run around wanting to see everything all at once. I took my child to the Lego exhibition, and…

I Am Going to Cuba! Come with Me!

Unknown Photographer. Free Royalty Photo

The beautiful Cuba is waiting for us! Come along. Whoa! The year is barely starting, and I am about to cross off one country from my travel bucket list in February. Traveling Beauty Hacks: Microblading

Let's face it sistas! We all love looking hot or at least not that messy in our traveling photos.  But with all that crazy rules about what is allow to take in our carry on and the expensive check in bags carrying makeup is not that easy.  My eyebrows set broke in my checked in…

Unapologetically Myself

The glass of red wine sitting on my desk is my best company right now. As for tonight, all I want is me. I want to feel the nakedness of my soul. The rivers crossed by my shapely legs were deep with the flow speeding at each step. A tremendous battle against quitting and allowing…

Snorkeling with Statues in Islas Mujeres

You only live once! I yelled at myself and jumped in the blue ocean. I won’t lie; it took me quite a long moment to start breathing normally.  I barely can swim, if moving my legs untidily counts as that.  Luckily, one of the guys from the tour was close by, and I stuck to…

A Wild, Up-close Experience with Bison

When I look into the eyes of an animal, I don’t see an animal; I see a living being. I see a friend. I feel a soul. A.D Williams. I have been lucky enough to have an enchanted place a few miles away from my home. Whenever I feel down or stressed, I pack my…

Feeling Like Elsa in the Midway Ice Castle

For around four months every year, I live in a Winterland. My cozy house is surrounded by white trees. From the windows, I admire the long and pretty ice icicles forming along the edge of the roof. Everything looks so magic, white everywhere. I was born in a tropical country, so I rather see the…
